This hastily-written, not at all comprehensive guide to my nutrition is the groundwork for re-building my physical health and wellness. After poring over various meal tracker and recipe apps, I just decided to go old fashioned and write down foods and complementary items that I like. It’s not exhaustive, like I said, but it helped jumpstart my mind. Now I have a clearer picture of what meals and snacks I can do to be healthier. It’s good to have something to look at and think, “yes, I CAN do this because I love eating these things”, instead of “oh, crap, I have to give up this and this and this, bummer”.
I had a lunchtime wrap with black beans and spinach, and a black bean salad for the evening. I capped it all off with some ginger detox tea, so I’m feeling pretty healthy. That was today; yesterday was a whole lot of pizza. I regret nothing. As I’m learning all over again with my nutrition research, balance is one of the biggest pillars of health. 😀
