I sometimes get frantic about what to post. “Oh, it’s been so long. I need to post something! Quick, find some good worksheets or effective mental health tips or something productive to share!!!”
I was going to concoct something worth posting. Whether generated from my mind on the spot or inspired by something I found, I was going to just force something out so I’d have a post. But that defeats the purpose of this blog. Even though the real purpose is productivity, inspiration, and anti-procrastination, the other purpose is that I’m not doing this on a schedule. I’m doing it because I like to write and this is as close to a personal blog as I’m willing to promote.
So what DID I do? The dishes. Vacuuming. Sweeping. Chores and such. I cleaned my house, cleared my mind, and settled my soul. Cleaning is therapeutic that way.
It helped me be more in the moment, too, instead of trying to force a post. Oh, and look! I still got a blog out of it. 🙂
