I used to use magazines to create collages for my bedroom walls. Recently, I re-subscribed to an old favorite magazine of mine (Rolling Stone) as part of a school fundraiser. Though wildly disappointed with the first two issues I received, I figured it would be a good chance to find the beauty in something less than perfect.
So I got to looking for things that could describe my life, my journey, and my identity. The hodge podge of words from both magazines comprised the answer.

After I watched my creative brain child come to life, I gave it away. I mailed it to one of my closest friends who could use the inspiration. Recovery is about building back up what was lost. It’s also about connecting with others. I had fun doing both with this project.
